Swensen's Planes Ice Cream Cakes

Swensen's must have have been in our dreams as they decide to send us a Disney Planes Ice cream cake to get us reacquainted with Dusty and his guru Skipper.
The Planes ice cream cake landed on our premises on a weekday. It was safely delivered in a cool box that is filled with dry ice. The cool box itself last at least 6 hours without refrigeration, thereafter storage is needed under 20 degrees( the only place in the house that fits that is the freezer). As Little Lou was under the weather and not prepared to soar, I am duty bound from preventing Daddy to get his big paws round our cake.
The next day, with the skies calling, Little Lou miraculously recover and rise to the occasion. Upon seeing the familiar planes on the cake, a smirk evolve on his face.
He simply loved the cake. Either that or he thought it was his birthday again.
Wrapped in creamy white base surrounded by round white chocolate rings sprinkled with coloured condiments, the cake is an eye candy. We had the round version that probably weighs about 2kg ( you can choose between 1-2kg for this shape)
We decided it is not too early to have another go at a birthday song even though the next birthday is a good six months away. It would not come as a surprise if such cakes were ordered for birthday especially if the birthday kid is an aviator fan.
Disney plane cakes featuring Dusty and gang are but one of the over 65 Disney Movie themed cake designs. Disney characters such from famous movies such as Monster University, Toy Story and Finding Memo. Classic Disney characters such as Mickey and Friends , Pooh and Friends and Disney princess like Ariel and Snow White can be found here.
To satisfy your sweet tooth, Swensen's offers a whopping 24 ice cream flavours to select for the cakes. They include all time favorites such as Sticky Chewy Chocolate, Frosted Chocolate Malt, Thin Mint, Strawberry Sherbet, Rocky Road, Pistachio Almond and Macadamia Nut. We were allowed to choose any two flavours for the cake and we went for the familiar vanilla and strawberry combo.
Anyone who had eaten Swensen's ice cream would have attest to its quality. We had the opportunity to do so a couple of weeks ago and was delighted with the ice cream treat. With a full cake of ice cream, the yummy quotient multiplies with each delectable bite.
